Travel Insurance - that's as individual as you

Unique has been providing travel insurance, in partnership with medical and other charities, for over a decade.

Their experienced, understanding team are on hand every step of the way and give a personal service for individual needs.

This is what Mr V from Scotland had to say about Unique...

'Your people are professional and thorough, when I'd spoken to another company they didn't even realise the importance of pre-existing medical conditions, they weren't asking me the right questions to reassure me that I'd be covered for everything.

I felt that your team were knowledgeable, and looked at everything with due importance. Having the experienced consultants that you have pays for itself!'...

Unique, in partnership with National Careline, can offer you a specialist travel insurance policy that specifically caters for people living with pre-existing medical conditions and disabilities, and their families and friends travelling with them - and for supporters of The National Careline.

For every policy sold Unique will make a donation to National Careline at no additional cost to you.

Unique offers two levels of cover – Platinum and Gold – with varying levels of cover to give you further choice that may match your needs even more closely. Talk to our friendly and sympathetic team for more information and a personal service praised by many.

Also available are Travel Extras - Airport Parking, Hotels, Lounges and Car Hire Excess Insurance to help make your travel more tranquil - with privacy and relaxation before and after your journey...

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

If you use the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) to reduce the cost of any medical treatment, then the £50 excess for each and every claim for Medical and Emergency Expenses will not apply.

Please note that the EHIC is not a replacement for travel insurance. The EHIC allows you to access state-provided healthcare in all European Economic Area (EEA) countries and Switzerland. There are conditions and restrictions as to what is covered and the EHIC does not provide any cover for repatriation.

Full details of the cover provided by the EHIC can be found on the EHIC website ( This also provides a link giving you details of the conditions and restrictions in each country.

When completing a proposal for insurance you have a duty to take care to answer all questions asked honestly, correctly and not misrepresent any information. If you do not take care in answering all questions honestly and accurately, this may affect your ability to make a claim or the amount of any claim may be reduced.
