Online Help to Prepare for Benefits Assessments: seAp advocacy has just launched www.c-app.org.uk, an innovative digital service to help people going through the process of applying for disability related benefits. The site gives users all the basic information they need to know about Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).

By using this app, our aim is to ensure that at your interview:

  • You are in control of decisions which are made about you.
  • Your experiences, views, wishes and feelings are heard.
  • You can contribute to improving the health and care services you use.

C-App can help.

  • Understand what the benefits are and how to apply.
  • Understand the forms and the assessment processes.
  • Know how to answer the questions in your assessment.
  • Know more about your rights.

You can also practice, at your own pace, the sort of questions you'll be asked. This will help you:

  • Be more confident about the forms and ready for your assessment.
  • Get clear about what you need to mention in your assessment.
  • Get an idea of whether you'll qualify for benefit, and at what level, when you do the assessment for real.
